Project 2 : Visual Analysis
INSTRUCTIONSSubmission Requirement :
- Recap Task 2 brief
- Write a 300- to 350-word visual analysis of the selected design (refer to Visual Analysis lecture notes and guide).
- Include reference links where applicable.
PHASE 1: OBSERVATION
Observation means closely looking at and identifying the visual elements of a design, trying to describe them carefully and accurately in your own words. Do not read beforehand about the design at all.
The observation phase is about looking, thinking, and finding good language to communicate what you notice.
PHASE 2: ANALYSIS
Analysis requires you to think about your observations and try to make statements about the work based on the evidence of your observations.
Think about how the specific visual elements that you've identified combine to create design principles that complete that work of design/art, and the effects on the viewer.
How are your eyes led through the work and why? Apply the design principles knowledge you have learnt.
PHASE 3: INTERPRETATION
In this final phase, your observations, description, and analysis of the work are fused with facts about the design work (and in some cases the designer) and historical context that you find in trustworthy published sources. What is the meaning of the design? What was the purpose for it to be created?
Visual Analysis
Task 2 Brief :
This assignment requires you to survey, examine, archive and examine the existing art/design work you chosen in Assignment 1. You'll ponder the plan standards found in that work, as well as the measure, arrangement, reason, adequacy of the plan in connection to the UNSDG objective that you just have chosen.
The following is a detailed visual analysis of my selected works:

Internal organs? Plastic?

PHASE 1 : OBSERVATION
The main body of this photo is a turtle. The overall tone is warm, mainly pink. The expression of the theme character is full of pain, helplessly wrapped in plastic on the body and endures torture. This photo expresses the feeling that the turtle's body is about to explode and calls for attention to marine plastic pollution. Use fonts as the background to highlight the theme appeal theme.(69)
PHASE 2 : ANALYSIS
The 1/3 rule is adopted and the proportion of the main "whale" is maximized. The composition looks beautiful and focused, laying the foundation for the whole picture. It is emphasized that the color of the whale in the picture is the brightest, even if it is not a high saturation color, but the relatively gray background makes the whale as the main body particularly bright.
Similarity expresses the proximity of the spatial position of the element, while similarity expresses the proximity of the form and content of the element, including shape, color, size, state of motion, etc. These three posters use animals to suffer from the environment, and the background is displayed in the form of large-character posters.
Text images As different symbols conveying modern visual information, images, graphics and text all have the function of expressing meaning. In modern design, it is important to compare images, graphics and text symbols from the perspective of visual design, analyze and grasp the connection and difference between the three types of symbols(170)
PHASE 3 : INTERPRETATION

Several works have been created around social problems and problems, which are in line with the characteristics of the times. Human destruction includes the protection of the current marine ecology.
The author tends to highlight the theme with marine life, and adopts the pain of the animal body being divided into the near-death, which increases the author's interest and gives it a deeper meaning.
The expressions of animals are also very painful, calling on people to pay attention to plastic pollution in the ocean.(106)

FEEDBACK
General feedback
Add job introductions, feedback and self-reflection.
Specific feedback
The number of words in the text needs to be added after each paragraph, and the meaning of the topic in some content is not prominent enough, so it is necessary to make some choices and additions. The same principles in the poster should be more prominent, and the division of each paragraph should be clear.
REFLECTIONS
Learn to analyze works, bring in the author's design principles, read relevant literature, have an in-depth understanding of the style and principles of the work, and observe how influential authors integrate various design principles into their own works, show their own characteristics, and design wonderful design works.
